Lesley Luce's Composition 0506 (Beach Study in Beige) is an early exploration into the artist's initial concepts regarding colour, texture, and concentric composition. This piece includes sand collected from the Beach as well as photos from the Toronto Archives, the, the address of Bud's Coffee Bar, Balmy Beach Club, Limon Restaurant, the silhouette of Fire Station 227 and the Letuy Lifeguard Station as well as illustrations from ForWARD Nine community map, 1980. This study is one of three created for Composition 0613 - The Beach.
